Thursday Thirteen #72 Smiley Edition

Greetings, Kittens!

Monday, July 4th was the release of my new book DAWN'S EARLY LIGHT (PsiCorps #2). I've shared excerpts in the past and it would have been quite logical to do so again today. There was also the option to give you 13 Reasons to buy DAWN'S EARLY LIGHT. But honestly, I've done four guest blogs and I have three more this month. I'm incredibly excited to have the new book out and to have something that expands the world and the relationships in the hands of readers, but I have no motivation to do a promo piece today. You all know me, if you've been intrigued and drawn in by the snippets I've posted, buy the book. Promo done. Now, back to that excitement. I've been smiling since Monday and that got me to thinking about how much I'd like to share you with you all 13 Smileys to brighten your days. So that's what I'm going to do!

Enjoy.

Congratulations on your release!

I love smileys. The snoopy dance is always a favorite, but I particularly like #2. All sites should adopt it. :)

Thanks, Shelley! Lots of sales would be great considering the finances at the moment. Appreciate the good energy! :)

Thanks! The Snoopy Dance was the first one I got and kicked off my smiley collection. One I wish I was still adding to but sites have let me down with their lack of creativity. I need to visit new smiley-positive forums. *grin*

Right?! How can one not love the dancing WooHoo? :)

[identity profile] xakara.livejournal.com 2011-07-07 09:15 pm (UTC)(link)
#1 is my favorite of the small smileys and teh dancing stick figure based on the dancing baby from Alley McBeal is my fave of the large. Snoopy wins for medium, so you covered all the bases! *grin*

I always look at the zombie one as edits/deadlines. It's a good visual and makes coping with them easier. *grin*

[identity profile] xakara.livejournal.com 2011-07-07 09:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Agreed. It's a great small celebratory smiley that would fit with any site!

That was unexpected and fun, except for the last one which seemed kinds gory in comparison. Congrats on the book! http://looseleafnotes.com

*Laughter* Yeah, sorry about that. The last one is what I think of when I look at my edits and deadlines. They just keep coming without regard for anything else. They can't be reasoned with, they have no mercy....

Anyway, love me some Snoopy dance! Just makes me smile thinking about it. :)

Well, thanks for coming back! I appreciate it. And the Snoopy dance is made of win!:)

Snoopy dancing is made of win, but I admit that the Woo Hoo holds a special place on my smile-o-meter!

It just looks so happy, right!?

These are great. The Zombie fighter one is a bit disturbing though. LOL!

Fantastic way to give followers a grin. Congratulations and best wishes on all your successes!

Yep, definitely disturbing, but sometimes so am I. *wink*

Thanks so much! I always love to share a smile. :)

The zombie one is disturbing but at the same time kinda empowering.

I know, right? It's creeptastic, but our protag is kickin' ass! It helps to look at when I'm overwhelmed and feel like edits/deadlines/health issues are acting like the merciless undead. *grin*
