Thursday Thirteen #59 The Baby Edition

Greetings, Kittens! I'm rather headachey and haven't slept yet but I couldn't pass up keeping my consistancy and posting a T13 today. For personal reasons, I rather have babies on the brain right now and what better way to deal with that than sharing with all of you. :) I'll be honest, many of Anne Geddes shots disturb me a little bit, but I managed to find the 13 that didn't, (or did so the least). So here you are 13 Baby Pics ala Geddes.

Enjoy.

She does some great work. Some of it is very odd but most of it is very inspiring to see. And thanks, I do feel a bit better now. :)

I had the most gorgeous calendar by her and just fell in love. I forgot to get on the year after and the year after that I just didn't feel the same about the one offered. Thanks goodness for google images. *wink*

I've always loved Geddes work. I have the baby in the palm of Daddy's hand on my wall. Thanks for sharing. Happy T13!

Takes me back a decade or so to when my kids were born. Sigh. So different now.

It takes me back to seeing my godchildren born. They weren't as tiny as the ones she uses but they were so precious. I couldn't help but think about babies today, my neice, who I helped raise until she was five, turned 18 today. SIGH.

I like Anne Geddes photos. They're very creative and clever. My husband met her a couple of times in the course of his work.

I've seen a few specials about her so it makes me wonder what kind of experience your husband had. :) Some of her images I just absolutely love, others I find interesting, but there are some that outright creep me out and I don't always know what I'm going to get. *grin*

Wow. One favorite after another. Maybe like the last one best. http://looseleafnotes.com

The last one is my favorite followed by the man with the twins, the statue, the woman standing with the newborn in gauze around her belly, then the baby in the basket and the first baby with the butterfly wings tie for fifth. :)

Another very talented Kiwi (New Zealander)!
Not at liberty to say how and where I met her, other than she was very generous, gracious and modest. A true Kiwi!

Generous, gracious and modest, can't beat that for compliments. In the interviews and specials she seems very quirky and fun-loving. Not a prankster so much as someone who has soaked in the unpredictability of working around children so often and seeing them in such a unique light. I think any meeting with her would be interesting, she comes off like she'd either instantly click of just overwhelm a more reserved person. I hope you had a wonderful encounter! :)
