My Eyes, My Eyes....But I Figured Some Stuff Out

I've been staring at stock photos, and demo pages and who knows what, for HOURS. I think my eyes are going to pop right out of my head and go soak themselves in the sink in another few minutes. It was just too addicting to stop once I started and time seeped away. 

The upside, I'm completely decided on the website, the hosting, which domain name I'm using, and which package level I'm going with. The only thing continuing to confuse me is Linux vs. Microsoft. I read the comparison chart and still don't understand the difference. If no one chimes in with a good reason I should go with Linux for an author site, I'm going to choose Microsoft.

Now, to actually part with the money.....so much harder than the week+ of agonizing on what exactly to do.

I need to rest my eyes and start thinking about the Thursday Thirteen. 

The soothing power of cool washcloths cannot be underestimated!

What software are you using to build your site? I use Frontpage and it's terrifically easy. In the old days it wasn't as good as Dreamweaver, but now it's just as good.

Well if you go for Frontpage, I can help you out ;). It's really not much different than using Word or Powerpoint. If you need graphic work let me know, I have Photoshop and can do stuff for you.

An offer of help, by default makes Frontpage easier. :) If it's similiar to using Word then all the better. I have a book to help me better understand Dreamweaver, but I prefer having someone who can be of more direct help.

The graphics conversation we can definitely have because I have no idea what exactly I might want there. I took it one crisis at a time and that one is still waiting in line.

Between me and Adrian we both have experience with frontpage and can walk ya through it. In fact, outside of the flash stuff, I built this last site myself. We'll see if Adrian can hook ya up with the ftp loader for your desktop, makes everything soooo easy to add after set up. We got your back, my sistah.

A lot of people need to struggle through and drive themselves insane. I'm so not that person. I want to learn as much as I can, but I'm taking all the help I can get while I do it.
