This Week's Update

This is just the quickest of updates to prove I haven't been consumed alive by the move. :) The paperwork is off for our new apartment with a lease to be signed upon inspection. Got a good dialogue about a new job down there. I'm learning a great deal of the history of the state and falling more and more in love with the idea of moving. And the apartment is alternating a wreck and the clearest it's been in nearly a decade. You wouldn't believe how much stuff we had stuffed into this tiny 500sq+ apartment.
So if I'm not being swallowed whole and overwhelmed by the move, where have I been? My desktop died. Just up and coughed it's last right when I was getting ready to print out the address labels for our boxes. But I rambled on about that at Beyond the Veil, you're welcome to go look. It's more important to point out that I'm writing this on my shiny new laptop. Carbonite has been thoroughly deified in my household for restoring my files (even if it took three days due to faulty internet issues), and now I just have to get used to this keyboard and highly sensitive touch pad I keep brushing when I type too fast. Hopefully I'll adapt quickly and get Word '07 to work right so I can make my blindingly close deadline. For now more packing and cleaning.
