Sunday Setup
Aug. 5th, 2007 11:58 pmIt's still technically Sunday, so I'm in time for "Sunday Setup". That's where I set up my week someplace where there may be minor accountability for actually getting it all done. :)
I'm planning out the next 13 weeks because I do well in three month stretches. It's just long enough to really accomplish something and short enough to micro-manage when my control issues rear up. My initial grand plan had been to come up with at least three if not five regular blog features to get me here regularly and firmly instill the habit. I thrive on routine, but rebel at setting them up at times. This is part of putting my foot down with myself.
I say initial grand plan because a brand new novel idea swept over me all viral-like this morning and has been riding me all day. (Which since my muse has taken the unusual route of being male, that brings an entire set of images to mind I now need to scrub away if I want to focus). It doesn't make my plans impossible, just waaaay more challenging. So no reason not to try, eh?
The Plan
Sundays: Sunday Setup. Just like today, a planning out of the week.
Mondays: Updates on word/page counts for the week.
Tuesdays: I'm thinking Tuesday Teaser
Wednesday: Writers's Five
Thursday: Thursday Thirteen (if I can figure out the mechanics)
Friday: Fine Fridays, pics and perhaps commentary on the "Crush of the Week"
Along with all this I need to finish my base edits. Get the bulk of my massive rewrite done. Get at least one chapter in book two done. And work enough of this new story out of my system that I can stop taking notes and researching like a madwoman and better budget my time on it.
I also need to get in five workouts, five fitness journal entries, and clean the apartment.
I'm already tired. But I'm going to do my damndest to keep up with it. Once I see how far I get this week I can set long term goals and go from there.
It's not insanity, it's an adventure...
Ramble done.
