Despite the temptation to say yes, and thus be free of responsibility, no, it wasn't you.

I got caught up in notes and things for other projects as well as catching up on the archives for an author loop. Add little sleep and you have a recipie for low wordcount.

It'll be okay though. I have two more days of busy work and then I'm back to time for myself and can finally get some good progress rather than inching forward a few paragraphs at a time.

lol..I still have half my day's fList to read, but I have a baby coming tonight, so I have to try to sleep for a couple of hours so I can be alert at 2 or 3 am when I get the call.

OOO, working with babies and expectant mothers must be incredibly rewarding. I considered being a doula for quite some time, but the training and such never lined up with the money.

Now with books and projects to complete I couldn't manage it and be true to both.

I don't get as mich writing done as I did when I was just functioning as a doula... (I did my first doula birth 13 years ago today!)
I'm still determined to get published one way or another.

People with long hours and lots of stress at their jobs get published, so there's nothing to stop you or me from doing it. We might have life eating into our writing time, but as long as what we put out there when we do have time is of quality, we'll get where we wish to in our writing careers.

((I'm convincing myself as well here. Our apartment building was foreclosed on and we don't know what that means right now for our long term leasing. The idea we might have to face moving soon means I don't have the luxury of waiting for some of the articles and short fiction I was going to submit to start bringing in money.

I'm off to turn in an application tomorrow to a guy who has been very excited in email to get me in and get me interviewed. It has me a bit on edge to know that as soon as the end of the week I could have even more hours gone out of my day. And this with my novella edits coming up in November. I'm a little freaked to be honest, and I need to keep reminding myself it's doable and I don't have to worry.))
