Great Googly-Moogly

 I'm Googleable! Which scarily enough is an actual word. See definition here. :)

Something always came up if you put my name in google, primarily my LJ and MySpace accounts. Although, for reasons I can't begin to fathom, my unused Sci-Fi Channel Forums account came up too. Must be a sign I need to hang out there more and speak with Eureka fans. 

Anyway, back to my excitement. When you put Xakara into google it brings up my website now! It makes it all real. And feel free to be amused, because I know it's amusing, but I'm happy all the same. It's no longer just some private, obscure little site I struggled over, but something that can actually be found. That's a milestone. Now to wait and see if anyone cares. 

Thanks to everyone who checked the website out for me and gave me feedback. I've semi-settled the one last issue I'm having on the site, only to have reconsidered whether I want to have the excerpts on-site or not. I like the idea of having them off-site on blogger and perhaps turning on comments so that I can have direct feedback without needing to embed a form on the site. 

Gotta go now, least this become a web-tech ramble of all the things I'm learning and don't want to deal with. *grin*

Is that really a word? Oh dear! I googled myself under my real name and found not only did my blog come up but also an article I had written for a magazine about 15 years ago and had forgotten all about, which they had reproduced online. I'm glad google makes it all seem real for you, but we out here know you're real, and we're delighted!

My given name only comes up with a regional sales manager in Kansas. Which gives me my own personal amusement. :)
