Crush of the Week

Happy Friday Kittens. 

I'm rather  right now and not up to my usual linkaliciousness, nor my regular heartfelt ramble, but I couldn't just let a Friday pass without another addition of Crush of the Week. We're going a bit royal this week and hitting someone who played "the king" and is playing another king on Showtime's The Tudors. Yes, Kittens, this Friday's Crush of the Week is Jonathan Rhys Meyers. 

I have a few of my own biases toward liking Jonathan as two of you well know, but for the rest of you, I'll give a brief history. I first came to know he existed, as many others, with the release of 2002's Bend It Like Beckam. Prior to this role however he was featured in the cult lovely Velvet Goldmine in 1998 which is still talked about in certain circles. 2004 saw the well received (despite the substantial changes) Vanity Fair with Reece Witherspoon and the less well received (and yet I liked it) Alexander with Colin Farrell. 2005 was a better year as he was nominated for an Emmy for his work in the mini-series Elvis where he played the king himself. As of late he is playing the King Henry VIII on Showtime's The Tudors. 

I could go on, yet, I can't. I'm tired. So onto pictures.

You should watch I'll Sleep When I'm Dead. One hell of a good movie and Clive Owen besides. Clive is always worth watching.

And gods, I could go on with others. He's done some *very* decent work in a few movies that hardly anyone's ever seen.

He has some 30+ projects so I'm not surprised at all there are quite a few that need to be taken in. Nor that they are works few have seen. That seems to be his lot.

Yeah, but I'm a wee bit young looking myself and there's only four years between him and I so it works out. *grin*

My spectrum runs from feminine to boyish to uber masculine. I am apparently subject to both my inner male and outer female, each of whom must be Bi when you get down to it. LOL

Yeah, that's a cute boy. Way too young for my usual taste (like, about 20 years too young), but he's definitely got something. it'll be interesting to watch him age. :)

I can find older men physically attractive in a distant kind of way, but I'm not drawn to them in general. I'm too dominant and that came to very bad conflicts of personality with the few older men in my life in the way back when. So I stay within five years of my age for best results. LOL

This brings its own amusement to me as I spent three years on a private site where he was the avatar for a vampire character, so I hardily agree it would be great to see him cast with a set of fangs. :)

I don't think I've had a Crush of the Week that wouldn't a good vamp character since that's where my thoughts go. Although admittedly, Shemar, Hugh Jackman and Jensen are all shapeshifters in my head due to my own stories, but I'd love to seem them vamped out just the same. *grin*

Well, if I could consciously decide it like that, I would probably do the same. But unfortunately the decision whom I am falling in love with is usually not exactly mine. It just happen to be mainly guys older than me by about 10 - 20 years.
Ah, well, I'll just leave the younger ones for you then, alright? ;)

Well, aside from that whole I've been in a relationship the last ten years part that keep me from hooking up with another guy. But I can clean up in theory, beautiful, technicolor, theory. *Grin*
