Greetings Kittens!
As promised I have a treat for you today. Winter's Shadow drops tonight and I have a guest blog from the author Virginia Cavanaugh. I know usually only albums "drop" but she's been a rockstar with this new step into publishing and should rightly feel like one! She let's turn the reigns over to VC and get a glimpse into Winter's Shadow and it's author. See you back here tomorrow.
Enjoy.
Hello everyone!
Thank you so much Xakara for allowing me to guest blog for you today. I hope you are all having a great
time at celebrating or getting ready to celebrate the Holidays. Things are getting crazier by the day here
as we get closer to Christmas and winter break for the kids.
The novella I’m presenting to you today came at me from out of nowhere. I remember looking at the
calendar at the start of the month of May thinking the kids would soon be on summer vacation. And
on the heels of that thought came the thought of how time passes so quickly and before I could blink it
would be Christmas again.
As soon as the thought came to me my characters and story started to speak to me. The summer had
started early here and even in May I was already looking forward to the colder weather. So my heroine
was born from this thought. Julia would come from Arizona and land in Pennsylvania.
From that point on the story really seemed to write itself. I astounded myself on how fast I wrote this
novella. I outlined in May, typed in June and subbed at the first of July. The story swept me up as I
thought of what it would be like to get another chance at love lost on Christmas. Of course my love for
romantic suspense kicked in as well.
Thanks for joining me today to celebrate the release of Winter’s Shadow. It will be available at 7PM
EST at Liquid Silver Books. I hope that you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it. Happy Holidays
everyone.
Best Wishes,
Virginia Cavanaugh
