Thursday Thirteen 6th Edition
Sep. 19th, 2007 11:00 pmHello Kittens,
I'm taking a mental vacation after the terrible day I had yesterday. Mentally I'm in Venice right now. It's quite lovely. And in Venice, it's 6 a.m and therefore time for Thursday Thirteen, Edition 6. Since I felt ready to stop the world so that I could get off yesterday, I've decided that my TT this week will be 13 Things I'm Grateful For. Yes, it makes sense, trust me. It's all about cultivating the Zen Vibe. You'll notice that there are links which are there because I didn't use names. It doesn't matter that you don't know who the pictures go with, the handful that do are enough. The rest are just invited to enjoy the following Fruits of Gratitude.

13 Things I'm Grateful For In The Midst Of A Sucktastic Week
1. I got to see my goddessdaughter and my godson on Monday.
2. All of the children in my life from the youngest at 4 and 1/2 and the oldest at 14 are all healthy, happy and know that I love them.
3. I'm ten years into a relationship with someone and still can't wait to see him when he gets home.
4. I'm ten years into a relationship with someone I still need to throw a shoe at every now and again because he cares enough to bug me and get on my nerves.
5. I miss my family despite the fact they drive me crazy when so many others don't have a family to miss.
6. I have a family of friends who also drive me crazy but who would drive across town at 3 am to pick me up if I need them too.
7. I have a friend quite a drive away who I've never met in person yet would rearrange her life and let me camp out at her place if things went bad and I needed somewhere to go.
8. I have two friends even further away who can't wait to have me come out because fate has kept us in each others lives and still has big things ahead for us.
9. I don't see the world the same way as anyone else.
10. Someone once told me to write my stories down and I never stopped.
11. I have a novella coming out in a few months, the first step in fulfilling my dream of publishing.
12. I'm antisocial and yet have met some of the greatest people on LJ and other places online that I really care about and want to see succeed with all my heart. That's what makes a community.
13. My worldview expands each week as I go through different blogs and come across different opinions, making me deeply grateful for the internet and everything it's made possible as far as learning. (Yes, this includes all of you TTers and LJers out there.
(Update: 9 am central. I was able to get up links for everyone that replied but I won't get to respond and visit blogs until after 5 pm central today. But I will get to everyone who posts, promise.)

Date: 2007-09-20 11:38 am (UTC)It's always good to take a moment to remember all the things we are blessed with. Stops us from complaining and makes us aware that other people are so much worse off.

Congrats on the novella! I think those are harder to write than novels, actually.

Date: 2007-09-20 10:35 pm (UTC)I wish I had enough key words to link everyone that came to mind. (I still might go back and randomly add links just to get more in). But having to narrow it down, I had to immediately put in your and Goth because you both have been so helpful and supportive!
Sorry about the leaky eyes, but at least it was a good leaky.

Date: 2007-09-20 11:00 pm (UTC)I'm glad you liked it. I tried to submit it but my mail client isn't set up to follow the link on the header page and I couldn't find a written out address I could copy/paste to do so.
I'll scour TT.com again and see who I can find to bug until they point me in the right direction. :)

Re: Great list!
Date: 2007-09-20 11:08 pm (UTC)Off to hit your list up. We'll definitely talk about the other idea. There's an LJ community called Writer's Five that can help us put together the questions.
