Hello Lovelies,

I'm not even going to pretend this week that I'm bringing you anything less than a character crush. It took me a bit to grow as attached to this show as I was to its predecessor, but the inevitable happened as the inevitibale tends to do, and here I am. There will only ever be one Colonel O'Neill, but I've definitely found another colonel I'd be willing to follow through the gate and to another galaxy. Yes Kitten, this Friday's Crush of the Week is Joe Flaningan or in this case Lt. Colonel John Sheppard from Stargate Atlantis.

Joe has had more than twenty guest starring roles on television since 1994 in everything from Dawson's Creek, to Profiler to Tru Calling before landing his role on Stargate SG1 and Stargate Atlantis. He began his career as a writer and is credited with two episodes of Stargate Atlantis, Epiphany in 2005 and Outcast in 2008.

My inner geek would use this chance to launch into rambling on John Sheppard now but as only Jennifer J would likely appreciate it, I'll spare the rest of you and move onto the pictures. I've even made sure two were "Joe" pics separate from Atlantis. For more on Joe you can head to Joeflanigan.com, Joeflanigan.info or click on his IMDB, Wiki links above. Now onto the pics.

Enjoy.

My dear, he is yummy. I had forgotten that show Tru Calling...was I the only in the world who really liked that show. I try not to get too attached to shows these days, because hubs says "if you love, it's sure to be cancelled." It's a curse.

It was you, me, and two friends of mine. I think we're the only ones that saw it. And your husband out sums it up for me too. I'm still upset about so many shows (Did anyone see Miracles on ABC with Skeet Ulrich as a priest disproving miraculous claims and being caught up in a real phenomena?)

Despite not wanting to get attached, I'm really caught with some shows this season. I'm going to upset come fall if they're gone.

I did see that show! And I liked it. Yet another lost to the curse. I am pretty attached to several shows right now, but I pretend I could not care less so as to vex the curse...

Don't know if it's working.

I don't even know exactly what it was that set it off with that show, but it was the cancellation of Miracles that made me so aware of how quickly great shows disappear.

I keep wanting to stay unattached but I'm not distant enough. My heart gets taken and I'm smitten before I know it. I have many loves this season and need to see them return. *sniff*

I too have fallen under the spell of Joe Flanigan. Are his eyes blue, green, hazel, brown, or a mixture of all in certain light?

Considering that his eyes seem to change with the light, I'm going to go with the default of hazel with green as dominant. And they are wonderful to fall into to be sure. *Grin*
