I'm a little too tired to be coherent, I just wanted to check in. For the record, before the Editing Gods revoke their blessings, I've gotten more done in the last few days than in the last few months and I'm deeply grateful!

Okay, now I'm off to eat something and edit a little more. By which I mean read and wish I were coherent enough to edit. Wait, I'm off Thursday so technically it's "pre-editing"rin. Yeah, that's it. *grin*

What are you editing?

I'm editing BloodSprite to acceptance specifications, and BloodQueen so that I can get it ready for beta reading.

I've got to disentangle BloodQueen and Chimera since I just wrote straight through. As I'm editing BloodSprite down I'm also changing some of BQ and Chimera to incorporate the 20k I had to cut out of Sprite to ensure it goes to print.

I still haven't decided which one is actually book two and right now what's written in BloodQueen and Chimera is too disconnected to be a true sequel. I have to pick one and run with it to really get a cohesive thread between one and two; something that's getting easier as I edit down more and more and get sucked back into the mindset of BloodSprite. The longer I edit and par down the original, the more I'm feeling BloodQueen and following up on Hunter and Reeve is the natural course of things.

Why do have to take 20K words out of Blood Sprite?

The print word limit is 100k and BloodSprite is over by a bit. I don't know if it's a hard count but I need to at least get close in order to go to print after the e-release.
