Research day.

Information overload.

Website building demos are of the devil. Nifty, but of the devil.

*Eye twitch*

Going to sleep now to marinate in all I learned today and see what my subconscious comes up with tomorrow.

Must look into "For Dummies" series on all things technical.

Thanx :)

Being wished well rest is always welcome. As an insomniac I can't collect enough (((rest vibes))) in a given day. :)

Do you do the jealous thing too when someone says how much sleep they got, or how well rested they feel?

I always want to rub their skin and see if some of the Sleepy-Time Goodness with come off and be of help. :)

And like a true insomniac, knowing another one makes me happy because it means I'm not all alone when up in the middle of the night. lol

lol...I do get a little envious when someone brags about sleep....
I have found something that will put me to sleep every time without fail...but like a true insomniac...I have to get myself to use it!!

(it's supposed to be a meditation track, but it puts me to sleep within minutes)

I take it, it's an audio track you listen to?

I've never had luck with audio, although there was one cd that was a chakra aligning, whozza-muh-whatzit, that was very relaxing. But I tended to write in my head while listening.

It's hard to "float off" because I tend to always "float to someplace specific", which defeats the purpose.

But I'm willing to try nearly anything. (But as you pointed out, sticking with it is an issue). I used to have luck with Alluna, but I haven't seen that in my area in ages.

it's a sine wave recording designed to get you into theta and delta brain wave patterns (http://ezinearticles.com/?What-are-the-4-Brainwave-Patterns-and-How-Do-They-Effect-Your-Health&id=44660) it sounds like rain falling and chimes. very soothing.

Good luck.

I've heard about them in general but haven't had the chance to talk to someone who personally read them.

I'll add him to my my book buying list. :)

Yeah, cuz that list needs to keep growing. *grin*

if you lived close, I'd share!
[livejournal.com profile] goth_huntress made the rec, and I'm definitely quite grateful to her...she's given me four good recs this month!
(and she shares her spare bedroom and her books when I drive the three hours to see her...lol)

She's great! She's offered to help me as I stumble through the website questions and trying to understand what I need and what's important and what is just extra money. I'm so grateful some is willing to be asked what must come off as basic material to them.

I need to consider bed. I just phased out slightly. Reaching the 24 hr mark here.

lol...I drifted off at 4:30 my time...
Her Photoshop skillz are incredible! (you've seen her Huntress banner...)
if you have any questions about Flash stuff, I can help you too...that's the one thing I know Jenn doesn't like to mess with much...(I used to do web design too, but more toward the Flash end of things.)

I somehow managned not to fall asleep until after 11 am. This has got to even out soon so that I'm semi-coherent enough to write.

Thank you so much for the offer to help me learn, and/or implement, yet another thing. I'm feeling less and less overwhelmed the more I find things geared toward the non-techie, and the more I find someone willing to just take a moment and explain. I appreciate it more than I convey. ((Hugs))

And I think this should be the last comment on this thread. I'm hopping over to your lj to start another comment chain from beyond. lol

Ah, so it's your fault there were plot bunny bites all over me this morning. Now I know who to send the doctor's bill to.

((But don't worry, I don't have insurance so I'll really just throw the bill our when it arrives))
