Research and Decisions
Aug. 22nd, 2007 11:59 pmHa, I made it. This is still Wednesday (for another whole 40 seconds), which means I'm keeping up with my 6 days a week.
The Upside of today:
Spent some time with my Sweetie.
Decided which webhost to go with.
Found "Creating Web Pages for Dummies" so that I have some idea of what I'm actually paying for when I get the website.
Found out that I have enough money to get the website now as opposed to later.
I might have a part-time job only blocks from home to help with money for attending conventions next year.
The Downside of today:
I spent money.
I have this big-ass book to read.
I have no idea where to start with everything.
I'm about to be out a hundred-some bucks.
I didn't write beyond a few sentences.
All in all, a very good day. But any day where I take my self-education in hand and also get to have pizza can only be a good day. Being as busy a day as it was has me concerned though. Wednesdays are good for errands and such but it cuts into writing. That wouldn't be so bad if not for the fact that Thursdays are set aside for other things (like learning about websites, and marketing, and extensive novel research that should never be done on a writing day because all it does is distract). That makes two back to back days of little to no progress and a lot of pressure on Fridays to get back in the groove of things.
Maybe I'll make tomorrow an exception and do writing in the first part, and research and stuff for later in the night. (Yes, I am avoiding getting into the tech learning stuff. So nice of you to notice and point it out to the whole class). I think that sounds like a plan.
Off to think about Thursday Thirteen and maybe get a few more sentences down for good measure.

Date: 2007-08-23 07:16 pm (UTC)Research, distracting, yes. Sometimes almost too much fun...and then I realize I haven't written! *nod nod*
See you're not the only one. As for the tech stuff *twitch*
